Our Story

Years ago, I dreamed of creating a school that would ignite excitement in children—a place where they would come not only to learn but to have fun, build friendships, and feel part of a close-knit community. A school where no child would be lost in the crowd, but instead each one recognised for their own unique personal qualities and encouraged to celebrate their strengths and attain their personal best. Determined to bring this vision to life, I set out to establish a small school, planting the seeds to what would eventually grow into today’s St. Michael School.

That dream has, over the years, grown beyond anything I could have imagined. St. Michael School has flourished into a thriving educational institution, now home to 1,300 students supported by over 200 dedicated staff members. With separate buildings for kindergarten, junior, and senior levels, we have grown while all the while maintaining our core values. This journey has been immensely rewarding, and I am truly blessed to work alongside such inspiring individuals.

Of course, the road was not without challenges. Yet through perseverance, determination, seeking advice, and surrounding ourselves with the right people, we transformed our original humble vision into one of Malta’s leading schools, providing education to children from the ages of 3 to 16, and not only preparing them for national examinations but equipping them with the skills, values and mindset needed to thrive in life beyond the classroom. Our holistic approach ensures that students are ready to face the challenges of the future with confidence, adaptability and a strong sense of purpose.

Our mission goes beyond academics; it’s about helping each student reach their full potential while instilling the fundamental values that guide them through life. We work closely with families to ensure that their children—our children—grow into the best versions of themselves. As educators, we do not just impart knowledge; we strive to be role models who listen, advise, guide and take pride in our students’ journeys. This is what makes St. Michael School truly special, and it’s a vision shared by all our leaders and educators, creating a unified and harmonious team.

Looking to the future, we have exciting plans to keep us at the forefront of education. I am fortunate to have both of my daughters actively involved in the School, ensuring its continuity with a fresh, modern vision. But one thing will never change: our unwavering belief that every decision we make must put the child at the centre.
